Payment notices and liens
A notice sent in time keeps your claim alive. Miss the window and it's gone. We draft, send and track every deadline.
Liens and notices
Unpaid invoices and retainage
Demand letters, held retainage and pay-when-paid fights, up to a bond claim when the job has one.
Getting paid
Defects and punch lists
For owners with work that is not right and for contractors accused of it. Contract, photos and warranty papers first.
Defect claims
Contracts before you sign
Pay terms, change orders, lien waivers and indemnity, read before the job starts and not after the dispute.
Contract review
From the job
Heard on the job
“They read the whole subcontract and told me which three clauses to push back on. I had never paid for a lawyer to say less, and it helped.”
“The flat fee is why I called. I knew what I was spending before I knew what was wrong with the deck.”
Sample testimonials. Each client's case is different, and what one client experienced does not predict another's result.
Before you call
Short answers, straight
Is the fee really flat?
For the work named in your quote, yes. Court, filing, recording and service charges are passed on at cost and listed in your quote. If a matter turns out to need more, we say so and quote that part before we do it.
How fast do I need to act on an unpaid job?
Notice and lien deadlines are short and strict, and they change with the state, the kind of job and where you sit in the chain. Call when a payment is late, not when it is months late.
Do you only work for contractors?
No. Owners hire us over defects, and general contractors over contracts and subcontractor disputes. We take one side of a dispute and tell you early if we cannot.
Do I have to come to Murfreesboro?
No. Calls and signing happen by video and documents move by secure upload. The office on North Maple Street is there if you would rather sit across a table.
What if the job needs a lawsuit?
We say so at the start and quote the court work as its own flat fee, or point you to another lawyer when it is outside what we do.

A name, an email and a line about the job is enough. We write back with a flat quote or a straight answer.
